Lexcode’s Seven: The 7th Anniversary Celebration

Glitz and glamor welcomed Lexcode Philippine’s seventh year with its Oscars-inspired celebration at the Milky Way Café in Makati City. As luck would have it, the celebration was held on the 7th of March, 2017. The event served as a venue to honor the relentless service of the current employees and to welcome the aspiring Lexcodians.

In line with CEO Chul Young Ham’s favorite motto, ?? ?? (Like the beginning), everyone had the pleasure of reminiscing the momentous occasions that turned the company beyond a workplace and made it a second family through a special AVP featuring former and present Lexcodians. Surprise greetings and well-wishers from Lexcode Korea and former Lexcodians further lifted the atmosphere.

True to the festive nature of Filipino celebrations, performances from different teams graced the event. The ladies from the ETC—the “eQQui Talent Center”—shared their talent for singing with a remix of pop songs. Even Lexcode’s regular performers, YJ Entertainment, did not disappoint with a special compilation of the dances they have performed since 2014. Solo performances from Loreen Joy Bermejo and Annabell Sale livened up the crowd as they each showcased their diva prowess.

The event ended with an awarding of the Lexcodians according to different categories in true Academy style: Lexcodian Babe (Dawn Sandie Salcedo); Lexcodian Bae (RJ Guno); Best in Costume, i.e., Best Dressed at Work (Jobelle Gesmundo); Lexcode Besties (Dawn Sandie Salcedo, Yvonne Beverly Javier, and Christine Ignacio); Office Lifetime Achievement Award (Sheena Baculfo); and Best Supporting Actresses (Margaret Lim and Yvonne Beverly Javier). The main awards were given to Jericka Orellano, who won Best Actress 2016, i.e., Best Lexcodian of 2016, and Mr. Ham, who bagged Best Picture for his clear vision on the company’s direction through the years and the years to come.

Hall of Fame certificates were given to regular employees according to their years in service, while Rookie of the Year and Promising Star certificates were awarded to probationary employees and trainees, respectively.

As Mr. Ham put it, “Work hard, party harder, and love harder.” The party was a welcome break from the regular work grind as everyone was given a chance to appreciate the growth of the company since 2010.

Like the beginning, the Lexcodians continue to maintain their commitment to quality and efficiency in its services and output. Now on in its seventh year, the Lexcodians are equipped more than ever to make Lexcode Asia’s No. 1 localization company.
