What is an SI System?

SI is an abbreviation for simultaneous interpretation. An SI System is a means for delivering interpretation to an event’s audience. The audience is required to use a receiver in a traditional setup, but in a remote SI setup, they may use their PCs, laptops, and cellphones.

When will we need it?

If the event will need handover and relay between interpreters, we recommend using a platform designed for sophisticated interpretation setups. In most cases, the Zoom interpretation feature will suffice, but as the requirement becomes more complex, a hybrid configuration may be required.

How does it work?

Interpreters will have their own private interface that is configured for the language to which they are interpreting. In a remote SI System, interpreters may communicate with other interpreters on the platform, where they can seamlessly execute handover and relays, just like in a typical booth setup. Below are some of the platforms we support.
